Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Just in case, if it's a procedure, I find that I can usually highlight and copy the procedure script. Then paste it back afterward. That way, at least I have saved that work.

One caveat... It's worth considering that whatever has caused the crash has probably corrupted the memory. So, the question is, will saving result in saving a corrupted document? That is why, while I may try and save a report or procedure, I'll usually let an aspect go and will always let a form go unsaved.
